美高預(yù)告丨體制內(nèi)外大不同,從單一學(xué)科了解差異化教學(xué)
英語(yǔ)是國(guó)際課程學(xué)習(xí)的重要環(huán)節(jié),畢竟在國(guó)際課程的日常學(xué)習(xí)和考試以及未來(lái)出國(guó)留學(xué)的生活和學(xué)習(xí)中,沒(méi)有良好的英語(yǔ)能力,想要順利完成學(xué)業(yè)難度倍增。
* 非母語(yǔ)者英語(yǔ)詞匯量表現(xiàn)
而以下這組數(shù)據(jù),可以清晰地感受到在詞匯量上,體制內(nèi)外的差別。

小托福核心詞匯量2,500詞,850分以上需要4,000左右的詞匯量;
雅思7分以上、托福90分以上,需要至少6,000詞匯量,最好能到8,000;
SAT 1500分以上,則要至少1,0000詞。
體制內(nèi)九年級(jí)的同學(xué)詞匯量一般是2000,這正好是中考考綱的詞匯,但在國(guó)際高中要求達(dá)到了6000,而且之后差距還會(huì)越來(lái)越大。

There is no doubt that English is an important link in the study of international courses. After all, in the daily study and examination of international courses and the life and study abroad in the future, without good English ability, it will be more difficult to complete the study successfully.
* English vocabulary performance of non-native speakers
And the following data, you can get a clear sense of the difference in terms of vocabulary, both inside and outside the system.
Toefl IBT has a core vocabulary of 2,500 words. A score of 850 or above requires a vocabulary of about 4,000 words.
At least 7 in IELTS, 90 in TOEFL, at least 6,000 vocabulary, preferably 8,000;
If you have an SAT score above 1500, you need at least 10,000 words.
In the system, students in ninth grade usually have a vocabulary of 2,000 words, which is exactly the key word of the middle school entrance exam, but in international high schools, the vocabulary is required to reach 6,000 words, and the gap will get bigger and bigger.

revealing the secrets of English teaching
The aim of LWS is to make English learning a part of children"s life, as natural as eating, sleeping and reading, and to stimulate children"s enthusiasm for learning in the right way.
Teachers from the English Department of LWS combined their years of experience in teaching English to design a set of English learning path suitable for Chinese children, teaching them to use English to learn the basic knowledge of various subjects.
LWS has a clear progressive teaching objective for English courses from grades 1 to 12:
01. Primary School (Grades 1-5)
Objective: To train children to speak English fluently and dare to use it!
We hope to make English interesting, charming and lively, so that children can learn English happily. Follow the principle of edutainment, protect students" curiosity and initiative, and actively create the environment and atmosphere.
English teaching integrates activities and games to give full play to children"s unique language acceptance potential and create an environment for students to open their minds, dare to imagine and dare to express.

Objective: To encourage students to use "English thinking" to learn other subjects

03. Senior high School (Grade 9-12)
Objective: To enable students to immerse themselves in the beauty of English literature
We hope that every student can have the ability to appreciate foreign classics, so that they can not only feel the power and beauty of the art world, but more importantly, cultivate their creative and expressive abilities through sensibility.
Fluent English listening, speaking, reading and writing can also help them complete various reporting requirements in the future.
